Westfield State Athletics soar to a sixth consecutive Smith Cup trophy and have now won the most Smith Cups in MASCAC history.

Westfield State athletics to host three playoff games with women’s basketball on Wednesday, hockey on Thursday, and men’s basketball on Friday.

Westfield State got big efforts off the bench from Caroline Galvani and Jailyn Garvin-Martin as the Owls held off Salem State, 58-56 to clinch the third seed in the MASCAC Tournament.
The Owls were led by senior Tavi Williams (Springfield, Mass.) with 17 points and 12 rebounds
A hot-shooting second quarter and defensive oriented second half helped send the Owls to their seventh conference win of the season.
Westfield attempted a program-record 64 three-point attempts and built a 26-point lead at halftime.
