Second MASCAC Player of the Week Honor for Berthiaume

WESTFIELD, Mass. –  Westfield State University senior guard Morgan Berthiaume (Webster, Mass./Douglas HS) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's basketball player of the week for the second time this season.

Berthiaume scored a career-high 20 points in leading the Owls to a 99-64 win over Dean College in a non conference game on Saturday.

Berthiaume finished 9-12 from the floor, and 2-2 from behind the three point arc, with three steals and two rebounds in a highly efficient performance, needing just 16 minutes of playing time to help the Owls build the big lead.

Berthiaume is averaging 10.8 points, 4.1 steals, 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game so far this season, helping to lead the Owls to an 8-3 record.

Westfield will open conference play on Wednesday evening at Framingham State with a 5:30 p.m. tip off against the Rams.
