After a storied career as a dual sport student-athlete for Westfield State, Jenn Rennich was named the 2023 MASCAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The award is chosen by the eight Athletics Directors from around the conference.
Westfield State University graduate student Jenn Rennich (Bedford, Mass.) has been named the 2022 NCAA Division III Academic All-America of the Year as she was selected to the Division III women’s soccer Academic All-America First-Team for the second-straight year by the College Sports Communicators.
Westfield State graduate student Jenn Rennich and sophomore Jaida Cochran were each selected to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Region Team.
“Very proud of the girls,” said Westfield State head coach Todd Ditmar. “ We did compete with them, but you can’t make mistakes against great teams, and we made a couple mistakes that hurt us, but I like the fact that we had a bunch of offensive chances, and we nearly got a goal at the end – their goalie made a great save.”
Westfield State sophomore Delaney Parker scored her 16th goal of the season with 9:15 remaining in double overtime to defeat Emerson College 2-1 in an NCAA Tournament first round game from Scranton, Penn. on Saturday afternoon.
