Westfield State junior Paige Moroney won a pair of events to the lead the women’s track and field team to a first-place finish at the Jerry Gravel Classic from Westfield, Mass. on Saturday morning and afternoon.
Sophomore Vicky Marin (Greenfield, Mass.) placed 12th in the women’s 60-meter high hurdles at the New England Division III indoor track and field championships at New Balance on Friday afternoon.
Vicky Marin led the way for the Owl women with three event wins and 38 total points, as she came home first in the 60 hurdles in 9.56 seconds, and won the long jump (4.84 meters ) and the triple jump (10.24 meters). Marin placed second in the high jump with a top mark of 1.56 meters.
Vicky Marin placed second in four different events to highlight Westfield State women’s track and field’s performances at the Coast Guard Winter Invitational #2 at the Academy in New London, Conn. on Friday afternoon.
