WESTFIELD, Mass. – After the first full week of the 2023 season, Westfield State women's soccer players' Delaney Parker (Orange, Mass.) and Tia Tollis (East Longmeadow, Mass.) earned conference recognition as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Player and Rookie of the Week.
Parker won the MASCAC Offensive Player of the Week award. The junior forward is on fire in her last three games with a total of four goals, two coming from a 3-2 victory over Arcadia University from Friday's Cortland Tournament. She now sits at 51 career goals, which is tied for the most career goals scored in Westfield State history. She has a chance to break the record and solidify her name in the history of the program on the 13th against Keene State.
Tollis won the MASCAC Rookie of the Week award. Tia had a memorable first week of her collegiate athletic career, scoring her first (and game-winning) goal in the win over Arcadia.
Westfield State (1-3) looks to improve their record on the season as the Owls travel to Keene State on Wednesday, September 13 for a 6:30 PM start time.
