Rogers, Jr. Claims Ninth MASCAC Rookie of the Week Honors

WESTFIELD, Mass. — Another weekend passes, another Kenneth Rogers, Jr. (Springfield, Mass.) MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor is earned.
Rogers, Jr. helped Westfield climb to 2-0 on the week as he posted an average of 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists dished out, and 2.5 steals per game. Rogers, Jr. posted 24 points, six rebounds, and four steals on Saturday to boost the Owls past Framingham 78-63 to keep hold of first place in the MASCAC standings with the conference tournament looming.
Rogers, Jr. still leads the league in points per game with 18.7 on average. He also is second in rebounds per game in the MASCAC with 8.9, along with top ten in the conference in shooting percentage with a rate of 45.5 percent.
Rogers, Jr. and the Owls (16-4) will take on MCLA in their next game at home on Wednesday, February 5 with a 7:00 pm tip-off.
