Women's XC Third at Suitor Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State women's cross country used solid pack running to earn a third place team finish against a tough field at the George Suitor Invitational meet hosted by Trinity College on Saturday at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn.
Westfield placed it's five scoring runners in spots 11-20and the top seven runners in places 11 through 32.
National #15 Tufts University won the meet with 36 points, followed by Trinity in second with 53, and Westfield third with 80. Salve Regina was fourth with 108. Eight teams and 98 runners competed on the hilly 5,000 meter course.

The Owls will travel to the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational meet next Saturday.
