Owl Women Picked to Win MASCAC XC Title in Preseason Poll

Westfield State University's women's cross country team was picked to repeat as league champions in 2025, according the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference coaches' poll released late last week.
The Owls are the five-time defending champs after placing eight runners in the top 10 at the championship meet in 2024.
Westfield picked up 34 points and four first place votes, while Bridgewater State registered 31 points and two first place votes to land in second, and Framingham State garnered the other first place vote and 25 points for third. The Owls return five of those eight standouts this season, headlined by Tealei Chandonnet, who was second and Julianne Kelly, who placed third at the 2024 conference championship.
Westfield kicked off the 2025 season last Saturday with a team win at the Keene State Alumni Invitational, where Reese Stevens was the top individual finisher for Westfield, placing second.
The Owls get back on course this Saturday at the Trinity College Invitational at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn.
