Four Owls Volleyball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
Allie Hill, Erica Majka, Hanna Nihill, and Emily Washkalavitch all earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State seniors' Allie Hill (St. Clair Shores, Mich.), Hanna Nihill (Chandler, Ariz.), Emily Washkalavitch (Oxford, Pa.), and junior Erica Majka (Agawam, Mass.) were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the court and in the classroom.
In order to be selected for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.50 grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and must have played in 90 percent of games played or started in 66 percent of games.
Hill was a valuable contributor in the back for the Owls defense, tallying 171 and 283 receptions while finishing second on the Owls with 44 service aces.
Nihill fronted the Westfield attack, leading the team with a career-high 219 kills. The senior hitter improved her kill total each season and served as a go-to option for the Owls this season.
Washkalavitch was the second Owls player to register 200 or more kills on the campaign, piling up 203 kills while also logging 199 digs and a team-high 49 service aces.
Majka took full advantage of an increased role this season as a libero and defensive specialist, pacing the Owls with 266 digs and adding 394 receptions and 42 aces, both top three on the team.
Westfield State women's volleyball finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 15-11 with a 7-1 conference record, advancing into the MASCAC semifinals.
