Bartiet, Dority Earn MASCAC Player and Rookie of the Week Honors
Westfield State University junior Julia Bartiet and first-year Morgan Dority were recognized as the MASCAC's Player and Rookie of the Week for their performances in the MASCAC tournament.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State University junior middle blocker and first-year setter Julia Bartiet (Chesire, Conn.) and Morgan Dority (Walpole, Mass.) are being recognized by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference as Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for their performances in the MASCAC playoff tournament against the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and Worcester State University.
Bartiet is recognized as MASCAC Player of the Week for tallying 21 kills, three total blocks, and six digs to push the Owls over the Lancers 3-1 in the championship final. Bartiet also tallied ten kills, three blocks, and three digs in the 3-0 win over MCLA in the semi-final game.
Dority is recognized as MASCAC Rookie of the Week for assisting on 18 kills, four digs, and a block assist in Westfield's win over Worcester. Dority also tallied 15 assists and six digs in the semi-final win over MCLA
Dority, Bartiet, and the Westfield State University Owls will tip off next in the NCAA Regional Tournament against New York University on Thursday, November 10 located at the Silloway Gymnasium in Middletown, Connecticut.
