WESTFIELD – The Westfield State University women’s volleyball team swept Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 3-0 (25-7, 25-12, 25-4) in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
The Owls improved to 11-8 overall and 2-0 in the MASCAC. Massachusetts Maritime is 1-16 and 0-4.
Sophomore Alyssa Stankowski (Deerfield/Frontier Regional) led the Owls with 14 assists, four digs and three aces. Sophomore Brittany Dussault (Chicopee/Comp) recorded a game-high nine service aces and sophomore Kelsey Leonard (Billerica) had a game-high nine kills. Freshman Kayleigh Shea (Chelmsford) chipped in with four digs and three aces.
