AMHERST - The Westfield State University women's volleyball team lost to Coast Guard, 3-1 (25-11, 25-21, 23-25, 25-21) and Middlebury, 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-12) in second day action at the Amherst College Classic on Saturday, Sept. 25.
In the Coast Guard match, April Gordan led Westfield's balanced attack with 10 kills and four blocks. Maura McLaughlin had eight kills and three blocks and Alex Shaw added seven kills and two blocks.
Kerin DeGirolamo had 35 assists, 14 digs and three service aces and Kayleigh Shaw contributed a team-high 17 digs.
Shaw had a team-high five kills vs. Middlebury and DeGirolamo recorded 12 assists and 10 digs.
