SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Westfield State University volleyball team split a pair of matches in first-day action of the WNEC Invtiational on Friday, Sept. 10.
Westfield swept the host team WNEC, 25-15, 25-21, 25-13. The Owls were led by Kelsey Leonard (13 kills), Alex Shaw (12 kills), Kerin DeGirolamo (30 assists) and Brittany Dussault (10 digs).
Western Connecticut edged Westfield, 25-23, 25-20, 25-23, late Friday evening. Rachel Ryan led the Owls with nine kills and nine digs.
