Lee Named MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week Ahead of NCAAs
The senior athlete is currently 12th on the national outdoor qualifying list in the long jump after a career-best leap over the weekend, putting her in position to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State senior athlete Eliza Lee (Walpole, Mass.) put forth a career-best leap right ahead of the NCAA Division III Championships and in doing so was named the MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week for the sixth straight week.
Lee won the women's long jump at the Farley Interregional Meet at Williams College on Saturday, posting a career-best mark that has her in position to qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships. Lee leapt 5.83 meters (19'-1.5.") with her first and best jump of the day to win the event by more than a foot over her closest competitor. Her mark currently has her ranked 12th on the NCAA Division III Outdoor performance list, with the top 22 declared competitors to be selected for the national championship meet later this week.
The senior athlete has been a mainstay on the conference's weekly honors as she earned all-region honors in both the long jump and the triple jump at the New England Division III Championships at Springfield College on May 2.
Lee's final conference championship meet was a success as well, winning three individual events: Long jump, triple jump, and 400m hurdles while also competing in a pair of relay race victories in the 4x100 and 4x400. The Owls would go on to win a third straight MASCAC Outdoor Championship.
The 2026 Division III outdoor track and field championships are from May 21-23, 2026, at Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Selections for the 2026 DIII men's and women's outdoor track and field championships will be revealed on Friday, May 15, via a press release on NCAA.com. Qualifying marks from Saturday, Mar. 1, to Thursday, May 14 will be considered – which leaves three more days for potential qualifying.
