WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State first-year athlete Emma Daly (Pittsfield, Mass.) earned conference recognition this past week as she was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference's Rookie of the Week.

Daly recorded two personal record marks this past weekend at the Dartmouth December Invite: a 1.50m leap in the high jump where she took home third place, then sprinted across the tape in 8.38 seconds in the 60m dash. Daly registered two of ten personal records set on the afternoon for women's track and field.

In the first two weeks of the indoor season, the Owls have earned recognition in both weeks as Eliza Lee secured the MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week on opening weekend.

Westfield State women's track and field will have a month off before their next meet, traveling to the Coast Guard Winter Invite #1 on Saturday, January 17 from New London, Conn.
