Swimming and Diving Fourth at Wellesley Invitational
Isabella Zeppa's Fifth in the 100 Backstroke Highlights Performances
Westfield State women's swimming and diving returned to action this weekend, placing fourth at the Seven Sisters Invitational meet at the Chandler Pool at Wellesley College on Saturday and Sunday.
Westfield State earned several top-10 finishes across individual events and relays.
In the 50-yard backstroke, freshman Isabella Zeppa placed 6th with a time of 28.76, while Autumn Sutherland finished 9th (31.60). Sutherland also recorded a strong 5th-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (25.98).
In the 100-yard backstroke, Zeppa added another top-five result, finishing 5th in 1:02.86.
On the relay side, Westfield's A 400-yard medley relay team placed 7th overall with a time of 4:30.00. Additionally, Corinna Green earned a 10th-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke (40.16), rounding out Westfield's top-10 performances at the meet.
The Owls will next compete on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Western New England College.
