Tollis Named MASCAC Player of the Week
Tollis has tallied twice in the Owls last three tilts.
Westfield, Mass. - Westfield State junior forward Tia Tollis (E. Longmeadow, Mass.) was honored with the women's soccer Offensive Player of the Week award in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) after leading the Owls to a 1-0 win over league rival Worcester State.
In a matchup between the top two teams in the MASCAC, Tollis made a statement in the match after heading home the game winning goal in the 51st minute. For Tollis, it was her second goal scored in her last three matches. As for the Owls, they remain unbeaten in conference play at 4-0-1 and are 5-4-4 overall this season.
Up next for the Owls is a matchup on Wednesday, October 15 when the Owls fly to UMass Boston for non-conference game, kickoff at 7:00 pm. The next home game for the Owls is on Saturday, October 18, as they host conference rival Framingham State at 12:00 pm on Alumni Field.
