Kiana Muratsuka Named MASCAC Player of the Week
She ranks second in the MASCAC in points and assists and fourth in goals.
WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State junior forward Kiana Muratsuka (Mililani, Hi.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer offensive player of the week.
Muratsuka tallied two goals and two assists in the Owls' lone game last week, a 5-1 win over Fitchburg State.
For the season, Muratsuka has seven goals and eight assists for 22 points. She shares the team lead in assists and ranks second in both goals and points. She ranks second in the MASCAC in points and assists and fourth in goals.
Muratsuka has helped lead Westfield to an 8-3-4 record this season and a perfect 5-0 record in MASCAC play. The Owls step out of conference play for their next game, traveling to Plymouth (NH) State on Wednesday for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff.
