Parker Named MASCAC Offensive Player of the Week
Westfield State senior forward Delaney Parker (Orange, Mass.) delivered another stand out performance this week for the Owls, securing the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State senior forward Delaney Parker (Orange, Mass.) delivered another stand out performance this week for the Owls, securing the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Westfield State women's soccer wrapped a 1-0-1 week including a victory against MASCAC opponent Framingham State on Saturday by a score of 5-0. Parker was at the center of the team's success, tallying nine points this week in the form of four goals and an assist. Two of Parker's goals came in the 2-2 tie with Vermont State Castleton with one being the game-tying score late in the game.
Parker continues to extend her MASCAC lead in goals as she has now scored 17 goals in just 14 games. She also leads in points with 38 which is double the point total of her closest competitor.
Parker's building career stats has her just two points shy of the 200-point mark as she has now recorded 83 goals and 32 assists across 77 career games played.
This is Parker's third MASCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors and she will look to continue her success as Westfield returns home on Saturday, October 19 at 11:00 A.M. for Homecoming weekend against MASCAC opponent Fitchburg State.
