WESTFIELD, Mass. – After scoring her eighth career hat trick over the weekend, senior forward Delaney Parker (Orange, Mass.) received the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors in a 2-0 week for the Owls.
Parker tallied four goals and added an assist across both games, starting with a goal and an assist in Westfield's 3-0 victory over Smith College on Tuesday. On Saturday, with the Owls falling behind 2-0 in the first half, Parker netted three unanswered goals to vault Westfield to a 3-2 win over Worcester State.
Parker has scored more goals (11) then games played (10) for the Owls this season, leading the conference by a five-goal margin while also leading the MASCAC with 23 points. The two-time MASCAC Offensive Player of the Year has recorded one or more goals in seven of ten matches on the year.
With eight regular season games remaining, Parker continues to extend her program-leading career marks as she has now totaled 77 goals in 73 career games in three-plus seasons for the Owls. She is also building upon her career points total, piling up 183 points which is 38 points higher than former teammate Jenn Rennich 2019-22 who is second on the career points list in women's soccer history.
Westfield State seeks a fifth straight win on Wednesday as the Owls visit Western New England for a non-conference game at 4:00 P.M.
