Women’s Lacrosse Places Six on MASCAC All-Conference Teams
The Owls had a conference-high five first team selections.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State women's lacrosse placed six athletes on the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference Teams, including a conference-leading five athletes on the first team.
Headlining the first team for the Owls are attackers Christina Roncarati (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Marena Morales (Tolland, Conn.), midfielder Mercedes Rozzi (South Burlington, Vt.), defender Erin Dyckman (North Babylon, N.Y.), and goalkeeper Izzy Conley (North Salem, N.Y.). Rookie defender Leah Burchman (Griswold, Conn.) also gained all-conference second team honors.
Roncarati gathered all-conference first team honors in her only season with the Owls after leading the conference with 63 goals and 80 points. A Division I transfer from Saint Francis (PA), Roncarati completes her collegiate career by passing both the 100-career points and goal marks, scoring 120 goals and compiling 147 points. She scored one of the Owls most important goals of the season in the semifinal win over Bridgewater State, scoring the game-winning goal with 26 seconds left to propel the Owls into the championship game.
Morales locks up first team honors in her first season with the Owls as well, earning her spot as one of four first team attackers after finishing the season third in the MASCAC in goals (51) and points (70). She recorded at least one point in every game played this season and led the Owls with 61 draw controls.
Rozzi put forth the best season of her four-year career with Westfield as a first team midfielder after displaying versatility as she finished third on the team in goals (42) and points (70), while placing in the top three on the team in several defensive categories: caused turnovers (18), draw controls (45), and ground balls (29). The senior captain topped the 100-career point mark during the regular season, capping her Owls career with 119 points on 86 goals and 33 assists.
Dyckman gathered first team recognition as one of the top defenders in the league, regularly handling the opposing teams' top assignments while stabilizing an Owls back end that allowed just 6.96 goals against in conference games this season. The senior captain started in 17 games this season and recorded seven caused turnovers and 15 ground balls. Across four seasons, Dyckman has played in 68 games, starting her last 35 games in her final two seasons.
Earning one of the two first team goalkeeper spots is Conley who was spectacular throughout the season for Westfield, leading the conference with a 49.5 save percentage while also facing the heaviest volume of shots throughout the year, making a MASCAC-high 206 saves. She posted double figure saves in 12 games this season with four of those coming against current top 25 programs in Division III. She concluded the season with a pair of double-digit save efforts in the playoffs, including a game-sealing save in the semifinals with 14 seconds left in a one-goal victory.
Burchman begins her collegiate campaign with all-conference second team defensive honors in her rookie year, leading Westfield with 35 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers. She forced five turnovers across both playoff games.
Westfield State finished the year with an overall record of 10-9, entering the MASCAC tournament as the second overall seed. The Owls defeated Bridgewater in the conference semifinals 9-8 before falling in a thrilling championship game which needed overtime to decide the winner with Worcester prevailing 14-13.
