Roncarati Earns MASCAC Offensive Player of the Week
Roncarati begins her Owls career with an effective week, scoring eight goals and adding an assist.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State graduate student Christina Roncarati (East Longmeadow, Mass.) secured conference honors this past week as she was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.
Roncarati scored eight goals and added an assist in a 1-1 week for the Owls, tallying four goals with an assist in a 15-10 victory over Johnson & Wales. She also totaled a team-leading four goals in Westfield's season opener against MIT.
The graduate attacker joins the Owls this season after transferring from Division One Saint Francis University where she compiled 57 goals and ten assists, including 31 goals in her senior year which were third most on the team.
Westfield State will play a pair of road games this week before making the trip down to Panama City Beach, Florida for spring break as the Owls visit Western Connecticut on Tuesday for a 7:00 P.M. first draw.
