Women’s Lacrosse Places Seven on MASCAC All-Conference Team
Westfield State women’s lacrosse placed seven players on the 2025 MASCAC All-Conference teams headlined by Owls first-teamers Emma Prattson, Mykenzie Black, Olivia Hadla, and Paige Jelliffe.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Emma Prattson (Tolland, Conn.), Mykenzie Black (Hopedale, Mass.), Olivia Hadla (Westfield, Mass.), and Paige Jelliffe (Monroe, Conn.) headline the 2025 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team with three more Owls earning second team honors.
Kylie Buchanan (Westfield, Mass.), Natalie DeMaio (Westwood, Mass.), and Kara Banagan (Niskayuna, N.Y.) round out the rest of the list as they earned second team All-Conference honors.
Prattson was named an all-conference attacker after finishing the season second in the league in assists with 49 and fourth in points with 78. She capped her Owls career by setting the program record in assists, racking up 131 helpers.
Black, an all-conference first team midfielder, led the conference in draw controls with an overwhelming 110, which also set the record for most draw controls in a single season in program history. She also finished third in the MASCAC in caused turnovers with 32. Black has now earned all-conference honors in both seasons with the Owls.
Hadla, a former MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year recipient, secured all-conference honors in all four seasons with the Owls, tying for the team lead in ground balls with 36 while adding 23 caused turnovers, the second most for Westfield.
Jelliffe was named as an all-conference first team defender for the fourth straight season, highlighting her importance to the Owls defensive unit in what was a highly successful four-year span for Westfield.
DeMaio rounds out her career fifth in goals scored in the MASCAC with 52. DeMaio finished with 206 career goals, which is good for second all-time in program history and is just the second player in program history to top the 200-career goal mark. For DeMaio, it is the third time she has been named to the league's all-conference team.
Banagan finished first in the MASCAC in goals against with 89, first in goals against average at 9.78, and second in save percentage with a 50.3 percent. As a fifth-year player, Banagan completes her Owls career having been named to all-conference teams in all five seasons with the Owls.
Buchanan gathers all-conference honors this season after posting 45 goals, the second most on the team, and 49 points. Buchanan had a productive two-year stint with Westfield, totaling 82 goals across both seasons.
The Owls finished the season with a share of the regular season title, posting a 5-1 record in conference play before falling in the MASCAC semifinals against Framingham State in overtime.
