Grant, Hadla Secure MASCAC All-Conference Honors
Westfield State University’s Jordan Grant (Gray, Maine.) and Olivia Hadla (Westfield, Mass.) were both named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference all-conference teams which were announced on Wednesday. Grant was selected to the first team with Hadla selected to the second team.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State University's Jordan Grant (Gray, Maine.) and Olivia Hadla (Westfield, Mass.) were both named to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference all-conference teams which were announced on Wednesday. Grant was selected to the first team with Hadla selected to the second team.
Grant made All-MASCAC first team for the third time in her career with an impressive 16.7 points per game, which was good for second in the conference. Grant led the league in field goal percentage at 50 percent from the floor. Grant finished sixth in the MASCAC in both rebounds per game (6.0) and with blocks per game (0.9).
Grant finishes her four-year career at Westfield having earned six New England Women's Basketball Association Weekly Honor Rolls, she has earned five MASCAC Player of the Week Honors, a newly three-time All-MASCAC First team honoree, a two-time MASCAC Rookie of the Week honoree, and was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association All-Region team in 2024. Grant has also scored over a thousand points as an Owl finishing with 1,486 career points, the fifth most points in program history.
Hadla made second team All-MASCAC for the first time, her third-time being selected to an All-Conference team. Hadla produced 13.9 points per game, seventh in the MASCAC. Hadla made the third-most three pointers in the league. Hadla also finished fifth in the conference in steals with an average of 2.6 per game.
In Hadla's four-year stint as an Owl, she has earned four weekly New England Women's Basketball Association Weekly Honor Roll awards, a two-time All-MASCAC first team, a MASCAC Player of the Week honor, and now a MASCAC All-Conference second team honor. Hadla will also join the all-time leading scorers list with Grant as she has totaled 1,447 which is seventh all-time in the history of the Owls women's basketball program. She ranks third at Westfield in career three pointers (218) and fifth in steals (264).
Westfield State finished the season 16-10 under head coach Andrea Bertini, earning the fourth overall seed in the MASCAC Tournament. The Owls defeated Worcester State in the conference quarterfinals before falling to top-seeded Bridgewater State on the road in the MASCAC semifinals.
