Westfield State women’s basketball spotted Salem State a 17-0 lead out of the gate, but the Owls came roaring back behind 28 points from Kierra McCarthy  and 24 from Melissa Gray as the Owls posted a 93-69 win in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference play at the Woodward Center on Saturday afternoon.

Senior guard Lucy Barrett scored a game-high 24 points to lead the visiting Westfield State University women’s basketball team to a 77-68 victory over Bridgewater State University in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon at the Tinsley Center.
