Camacho Named MASCAC Softball Rookie of the Week
Owls rookie Rylie Camacho (Attleboro, Mass.) captures her first MASCAC honor as she claims MASCAC Rookie of the Week for softball.
WESTFIELD, Mass. — Owls rookie Rylie Camacho (Attleboro, Mass.) captured her first MASCAC honor as she claims MASCAC Rookie of the Week for softball for the week ending March 30.
Camacho helped Westfield State to a 3-0 record this past week as she has produced a statline of .625 batting average, which included a double and a triple. Camacho drove in five runs for the Owls, along with hitting two home runs and having a .667 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of 1.000. Camacho went 3-for-3 with a triple and RBI in their 8-0 win over Anna Maria, along with her driving in three runs in Westfield's 13-5 win against Mass Maritime.
Camacho has played in eleven games to this point and is tied for second in the MASCAC in home runs with two. She is batting .250 with four extra base hits and 10 RBI so far this season.
