Men's XC Picked Second in MASCAC Preseason Poll

WESTFIELD, Mass.  --     Westfield State men's cross country was picked to finish second in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference in the preseason coaches poll released last week.

Westfield received 22 points and a pair of first-place votes.  Bridgewater State nabbed the top spot in the poll with 24 points and four first-place votes.

The Owls opened their season with a team win last Saturday at the Keene State Alumni Invitational.   Westfield is back in action this Saturday, competing in the Trinity College Invitational at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn.
