Ramsey Earns MASCAC Rookie of the Week
Ramsey finished tenth at the Keene State Alumni Invitational to receive rookie honors.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State first-year athlete Braedan Ramsey (Plainville, Conn.) received league honors this past week as he was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference's Rookie of the Week.
Ramsey wasted no time making an impact in his first collegiate meet, placing tenth with a time of 16:38 on the five-kilometer course at the season opening Keene State Alumni Invitational on Saturday. His effort helped the Owl men to a first-place team performance in an event featuring five teams and 55 athletes.
The meet marked a strong start to the season for the Owls, which earned the second spot in the 2025 MASCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll as released last week prior to the start of competition.
Westfield State will set their sights on the George Suitor Invitational this Saturday, held at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. The men's race begins at 11:10 A.M.
