Clark Tenth at MIT Final Qualifier Meet

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State graduate student Shane Clark (Bellows Falls, Vt.) placed tenth in the javelin toss at the MIT Final Qualifier meet from Cambridge, Mass. on Thursday evening in an effort to qualify for the NCAA Division III Championship meet.
Clark registered a toss of 49.96 meters during the meet for a tenth-place finish.
Clark, who earned All-New England honors last week after finishing within the top eight competitors at the NEICAAA Championship meet last week, currently sits 40th on the NCAA Division III performance list in the javelin toss after firing a 57.57-meter toss last week.
The top-22 entrants will be selected to the NCAA Division III National Championship meet with the current spot holding a distance of 59.86m in the event.
