Sylven Earns All-NE Honors in Steeplechase
Nathan Sylven’s sixth-place finish in the 3000 meter steeple chase highlighted the Owls performances on Saturday at the New England Division III Track and Field Championships at Mount Holyoke College.

Sylven's result will earn him All-New England honors, as he completed the course in a personal best time of 9:36.66.
Other performances of note for the Ow men included Colby Ranck placing 10th in triple jump with a mark of 13.12 meters, and the 4x800 relay unit was 10th with a season best time of 8:03.33 as Gordon Johnson, Rowan Gottschall, Lorcan Bergeron and John Nekitopoulos passed the baton.
On the women's side of the meet, Westfield's Bronwyn Pinsly advanced to finals in the discus, finishing ninth with a personal-best throw of 38.81 meters
Eliza Lee leapt to 11th place in triple jump with mark of 10.75 meters.
Lee was also a part of Westfield's 4x400 relay that was 11th , comprised of Lee, Savannah Campbell, Anjalina Lubarsky and Paige Moroney.
Westfield's 4x800 was 13th in 10:10.60 , a season-best time for the quartet of Molly Kennedy, Ariann LeCours, Tealei Chandonnet and Brynne LeCours.
