Ortiz Leaps Athlete of the Week Honors

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State University Junior Owen Ortiz (Greenfield, Mass) was awarded the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week.

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State University Junior Owen Ortiz (Greenfield, Mass) was awarded the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week. 

Ortiz finished third in the triple jump with a top leap of 13.74m (45' 01.00") at the Massasoit Invitational hosted by Springfield College. He is currently seventh in New England for the triple jump. 

 Ortiz will compete in the New England All-Divisions at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston Mass on Friday January, 31.
