Three Men's Soccer Players Earn Academic All-District Honors
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom
WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State University men's soccer placed three players on the College Sports Communicators Academic All District Team, the organization recently announced.
Westfield's Sonny Mazza (E. Longmeadow, Mass.), Ethan Margolis (Wakefield, Mass.) and Cairn Bright (Belchertown, Mass.) were all named to the team,
Mazza, a senior midfielder and forward, finished the season with four goals and six assists for 14 points, which ranked fourth on the team in 13 games played.
Margolis, a junior midfielder, tallied two goals and three assists while starting 16 of the 17 games he played in this season.
Bright transferred in this year and helped bolster the Owls back line, while also contributing two goals and four assists while playing in all 18 games with 16 starts.
Westfield finished the year 10-4-4 overall and 5-1-2 under fourth-year head coach Dr. Christopher Streeter.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
