Tkacz Earns MASCAC Rookie of the Week Honors

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State first-year midfielder Tim Tkacz (Suffield, Conn.) delivered a strong performance in a busy week for the Owls, earning the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honors.

Tkacz was heavily involved in the offensive output in the Owls 4-1 win versus Elms College on Wednesday, creating a pair of scoring opportunities for Westfield via assists to Nicholas Parakilas (East Windsor, Conn.) and Miguel Fortich (Springfield, Mass.).

Tkacz has started all four games as a midfielder this season for the Owls as the rookie and is currently tied for the team lead in assists through the first full week of the season.

Tkacz and the Owls will look to finish their four-game road trip strong on Tuesday, September 10 against Sage College at 7:00 P.M.
