Sinha Kunphel Named Conference Rookie of the Week

WESTFIELD, Mass.  – Westfield State University freshman Sinha Kunphel (Nauset HS/S. Yarmouth, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer rookie of the week for the week ending September 24.

Kunphel tallied his first two collegiate goals in the Owls' 3-2 win over Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Saturday.

Kunphel has started five of the Owls seven games this season and taken on a prominent role in the central midfield.

Westfield State is off to a 1-0-1 start in the MASCAC and has a 2-4-1 overall record.

Westfield will next play at Worcester State on Saturday, September 29.
