Board, Seguin Earn Placement on MASCAC All-Conference Team
Cooper Board was a first team recipient while Seguin earned second team honors.
WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State men's ice hockey placed a pair of players on the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference teams, the league announced today.
Senior forward Cooper Board (Glen Ellyn, Ill./ Seacoast Spartans (EHL)) was named to the first team, while senior defenseman Raphael Seguin (St. Lazare, Quebec/Cornwall Colts (CCHL))was tabbed for the second team.
The duo served as the Owls captains this season.
Board finished the year with seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points. He scored the biggest goal of the year for the Owls, netting the game-winner in overtime on a breakaway in the Owls 4-3 OT win at Fitchburg State in the MASCAC Semifinals. . He is a computer science major at Westfield.
Seguin finished the year with four goals and 16 assists from the blueline. Seguin is a business management major at Westfield State.
The two players represented were the most the Owls have placed on the all-conference squads since they landed four players on the team in the 2019-20 season.
Westfield State finished the season with an 18-8-2 overall record under head coach Bob Miele, advancing to the conference tournament championship game as the #3 seed in the tournament after tying for second place in the league's regular-season standings. The Owls' 18 wins are the most since the program returned to varsity status and the fourth-best in the overall history of Westfield State hockey.
