WESTFIELD, Mass. – The remainder of tonight's men's ice hockey game between Westfield State and Fitchburg State has been suspended indefinitely with no current reschedule date.
The Owls finished the second period with a 3-2 lead before a mechanical issue at the rink caused a delay during the intermission, eventually leading to the suspension of the game.
Westfield scored three unanswered goals to pull ahead after two periods with Jesper Seeberg, Cooper Board, and Nicolas Coppola scoring for the Owls. Fitchburg scored twice in the first period with Marcus Macchioni and Nicklas Millhorn finding the back of the net.
