Lawrence Earns MASCAC Weekly Honors

WESTFIELD, Mass. - Westfield State freshman forward Wyatt Lawrence (Sexsmith, Alberta) was named this past week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Week.

Lawrence picked up two points on a goal and an assist in a 1-0-1 week for the Owls. He had the assist on the game-winning goal in the 2-0 victory over Framingham State on Thursday night, and scored his first collegiate goal in the 3-3 tie with UMass Dartmouth this past Saturday.

This marks the first weekly honors of the young freshman's career.

Westfield State finishes the calendar year of play with a road matchup at Assumption College this Thursday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
