Price-Espada Earns National D3 Team of the Week Honor

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State men's basketball senior guard Angel Price-Espada (Cambridge, Mass.) has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. This recognition is a result of his outstanding 35-point performance to help the Owls defeat Anna Maria 95-72 on Tuesday, November 26.
D3hoops.com highlights men's and women's Division III college basketball across the nation, honoring players for their exceptional performances. The website also awards high honors such as Player of the Year and All-American teams. This marks Price-Espada's first honors award from D3hoops.com, in addition to being named Player of the Week from MASCAC's weekly honors.
Price-Espada earned his spot on the D3hoops.com weekly honor roll by leading the Owls with 35 points and four three-pointers against Anna Maria, showcasing his skill in creating offensive opportunities. He also leads the MASCAC in points per game, averaging 19.8. Already scoring a total of 119 points this season, Price-Espada is close to beating his previous point record of 129 last season in 16 games.
The Owls will host a non-conference game against Elms College on Tuesday, December 3, at 7 pm in the Woodward Center.
