Marshall Claims MASCAC Rookie of the Week
Owls first-year Nick Marshall earned the MASCAC Rookie of the Week after a doubleheader sweep of Springfield College

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State first-year Nick Marshall (Reading, Mass.) received the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week after a 2-0 weekend for the Owls.
Marshall started both games at first base, going 3-4 (.750), with a solo home run, a double, four runs scored, and two RBI. He also collected two stolen bases and compiled a 1.750 slugging percentage along with a .750 on-base percentage. The Owls won both games of a doubleheader set against Springfield College on Sunday afternoon.
Westfield State travels down south during the week of Spring Break as the Owls begin the first of five games in Florida starting on Wednesday against Johnson and Wales (RI) at noon.
