Westfield State Baseball Up to Fifth In NEIBA Poll

WESTFIELD, Mass. – Westfield State baseball jumped up two spots in the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association poll this week.
The Owls now sit fifth in New England, their highest ranking in this season's poll.
The Owls are now 15-3 on the season, and 6-2 in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference.
Westfield will play four designated non-conference games against Bridgewater State this weekend, with two games at Westfield on Friday, and the series moving to Bridgewater on Saturday.
The Owls and the Bears split four games last weekend, each sweeping a doubleheader on their own turf.
Eastern Connecticut (21-4) leads the coaches' poll, followed by Babson, Southern Maine and Wheaton.
