Meet Results

The Westfield State College women's swimming and diving team defeated Regis College, 100-75, on Wednesday, Feb. 11. The final home meet was held at Westfield High School and Westfield State's seven seniors were honored prior to the meet.

The Owls concluded their dual meet season with a 7-3 record. According to veteran coach Dave Laing, at least 18 team members have qualified for the New England championships the weekend of Feb. 20.

Scoring first places for the Owls were: Cairsten Beanland (1,000 freestyle), Kate Werner (200 freestyle), Lindsey Malboeuf (50 backstroke), Chelsey Georgoulis (50 breaststroke), Chrissy Lovejoy (100 butterfly), Caitlin Chafee (500 freestyle) and the 200 medley relay team of Shannon Conroy, Aimee Raposo, Angie Wasylik and Malboeuf.
