The Westfield State football team faces another challenging game this
week when it travels to Framingham State. The Owls are 4-2 overall
(three wins by a total of 12 points) and 2-1 in the NEFC Bogan Division.
The Owls are 3-3 and 1-2. The Owl defense is ranked first in the NEFC
and seventh nationally in scoring defense, allowing 62 points in six games.
Westfield is also ranked in first in the NEFC in pass effficiency defense
(seventh naitonally) and turnover margin (5th nationally). Framingham
has several big-play performers in David Leach, who ranks fourth
nationally in rushing (145.0), and Joe McCarthy in receptions per
game (8.8).
