Owl Club is hosting a hospitality tent for parents, alumni, and Owl Club 
members at Saturday’s MASCAC Championships at Westfield State.  
Join us under the tent next to the bleachers on Alumni Field for 
complimentary snacks and beverages as we cheer on the Owls in the 
volleyball, and men’s and women’s soccer championships.  The heated
tent will be open from 12:30 p.m. through halftime of the women’s soccer

Defending champion Westfield State College has earned the top seed in the 2009 Massachusetts
State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Soccer Championships, which begin with semi-final round play on Wednesday, November 4th and conclude with the 2009 MASCAC Championship match on Saturday, November 7th.

Westfield State will host fourth-seeded Bridgewater State College in a re-match of last year’s title contest in one semi-final round match on Wednesday evening at Alumni Field in Westfield, Mass. beginning at 7:00 p.m.(The Westfield-Bridgewater women's soccer game will be videostreamed live on the internet at: www.mascac.tv), while second-seeded Worcester State College will host third-seeded Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in the other semi-final contest on Wednesday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m.

NORTH ADAMS - The Westfield State women's soccer team captured the Massachusetts State College Athletics Conference regular season championship by defeating rival MCLA, 2-1, on Saturday, Oct. 31.

The Owls completed the regular season with a 14-1-2 overall record and a 6-0-1 MASCAC mark. MCLA is 13-4 and 5-2. Westfield will host No. 4 seed Bridgewater in the MASCAC tournament semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7:00 p.m.

WORCESTER - Westfield State and Worcester State played to a 0-0 double overtime tie in a key MASCAC women's soccer game on Friday evening, Oct. 16.

The Owls remain in first place in the MASCAC with a 4-0-1 record. Both Salem and MCLA are 3-1 while Worcester is 2-0-2. Westfield's overall record is 11-1-2.

Weekly Honor Roll

Senior Alicia Chandler has been named the Massachusetts State College Athletics Conference (MASCAC) women's soccer player of the week.

Chandler scored the game-winning goal in a big 2-1 non-conference victory over Keene State and added a goal and an assist in a 6-1 triumph over Fitchburg State.

Westfield (11-1-1; 4-0 MASCAC) returns to action this Friday at 7:00 when it plays a key conference game at Worcester State.
